Developing something new
and captivating

Designing a new advertising journey with Facebook and Tesco

Process

We were approached by Tesco to create a ‘Facebook Canvas’ –
a new advertising feature in which users were taken to an interactive microsite away from Facebook.

I collaborated with Facebook to try and push the boundaries of the product. Using purposely shot images of the Spring/Summer range and creating a journey the customer could easily follow.

Following the classic Tesco style guide, but using a more appropriate colour palette, I set about creating wireframes to formulate a simple and engaging journey with the user in mind.

The Final Advert

As seen on the customers Facebook feed -
an auto-play video with a spinning ‘Tap to Open’ icon.

The user was taken to an opening carousel to select their chosen room. This would then open up the next step, with an auto-playing stop motion video of products in situe.

On to another carousel with call to actions, and product focused images. The user was then offered select products, which linked to the Tesco Retail website. Ending on a final call to action, to move on to the next room.
